New Semester, New Time, New Members

Hello Madison Game Design and Development Members!

School is back in cession and that means so are GDD Meetings!

Meetings this year will be held on Wednesdays, starting at 6:30 P.M. in Room 131 in the Teachers Education Building (Same place as last year).

On February 14th, we will have our new member night. Returning members would be asked to mingle with the new members and help answer some questions of the new members.

February 21st will be pitch night, if you have an idea for a video game you would like to design or create, then bring a short pitch about your game! It doesn’t have to be much, a concept and a vague idea of what you want to do with it is all that you need!

Some Tentative plans for later in the semester:

February 16th will be a board game night to introduce our new members! Come join us Friday Evening for some Board Game fun! (Time TBD)

We will be doing a Social Field Trip on the weekend of March the 10th or March the 17th, look out for a poll on the page for where to go!

We will be doing a Trivia/game night (Jackbox, Mario Party, Kahootz, etc.) on the weekend of April the 7th (The weekend following Spring Break)

And another Trip on either the weekend of April the 14th or 21st

Also, We will be performing our Spring Fundraiser on February 27th and 28th, signup sheet will be sent out soon, please help either man the booth or swing by and buy a donut to help support the club!

Welcome back and let’s make some games!

New Website!

I’ve updated the website to include a lot of new features and make it easier to add content moving forward. I’m hoping to have this be a central place for announcements, industry news, projects, events, and everything GDD. Explore the site and let me know what you think! You can even comment directly on the site now in response to this post!

Anyone working on a project that isn’t listed on the site should let me know and I’ll add a page for them. Also please send me any resources, guides, etc. that you think would be useful to have on the website.
